Purpose
The Montana Jaycees Awards and Recognitions Program is designed to recognize the impact of our members' efforts at the local and state levels. This will assist the state in submissions to the national level for a chapter or individual to be recognized. This impact can be through projects, chapter/state management, individual achievement, and/or recruitment efforts.
General Eligibility Requirements
Recognition is based on the progress made within the year inside the following categories:
○ First Half Awards are defined as any achievements between January 1 to June 30
○ Second Half Awards are defined as any achievements between July 1 to December 31
○ Full Year Awards are defined as any achievements between January 1 to December 31
All decisions of the Montana Jaycees Awards Committee and Montana Jaycees State President are final and irrevocable.
Entries must be submitted via the digital format provided by the Montana Jaycees Awards Committee.
○ Extra Pictures or other substantiation may be submitted with the form. These items should enhance the form submission and are not to replace content on the form.
All individuals nominated for recognition must be members in good standing during the year they are being nominated for.
All submissions will be completed via google forms. Unless arrangements are made directly with the Montana Jaycees, no submissions will be accepted through other means.
All Forms will be available in the Montana Jaycees Resources Tab online at www.mtjaycees.org . Once a submission is complete, you should receive an email confirming the submission has been received. If you do not receive an email, please submit again. If you have questions or need support with the portal please contact the Montana Jaycees at mtjaycees@gmail.com.
To ensure that the correct files are associated together for your submission please follow the approved standard naming process for your file attachments:
Submission files can be a .mp3, .mp4, .pdf, .doc, .docx, .png, or .jpg file type. Apple formats are not compatible. Please note if other file types are submitted it could be possible that the judges and/or the Montana Jaycees will be unable to view for judging purposes.
Award Categories
Outstanding Officers:
Eligibility: These awards are for anyone that is holding the designated board positions for a local chapter. This award is to recognize their hard work and dedication to their duties and the impact they have created in the chapter, as well as their community. Submissions for 1st half and 2nd half of the year awards will be considered for the overall winner for the full year.
State board members and Chapter Presidents are not eligible for these awards.
Multiple nominations for a single individual may be submitted by a different person for each nomination.

Exceptional Individuals:
These awards are for an individual or group that has shown their outstanding dedication to their own growth and development by supporting chapter, state, and/or national initiatives. These are people that have gone above and beyond to further the Jaycee Mission and Vision. Submissions for 1st half and 2nd half of the year awards will be considered for the overall winner for the full year.
State Board members (except State President) are eligible for these awards.
Multiple nominations for a single individual or group may be submitted by a different person for each nomination.

Chapter Awards:
This award category is for local chapters that have exemplified the values of the Montana Jaycees and JCI USA by empowering young leaders to create positive change. Highlighting the chapters projects, community involvement, new initiatives, recruitment/retention, and Program Management Guides. Program management guides required for project submissions so they may be considered on the National and International level of JCI. Submissions for 1st half and 2nd half of the year awards will be considered for the overall winner for the full year. Each will be specified below:

Presidents Choice Awards
These awards are decided by the Montana State President and is based solely on the information collected over the last year. The State President takes any recommendations throughout the year for any of these awards and also makes the decision on overall performance, communication, involvement with chapter/state/national/international, and cross chapter collaboration. Recommendations for these awards may be submitted by email to mtjaycees@gmail.com with the title of the award in the subject line. These awards are given at year end only. Awards are as follows:

Other Awards:
Longevity Awards are also awarded to members to honor their dedication to the organization. These are members that have dedicated years of service to the organization to assist our organization in any capacity they can over the years. Awards are given at the following milestones:
Tombstone Award is given to members that have reached the age of 40 and are aging out of the organization. Although they are moving on from us, we want to give something in appreciation of their service to the organization while they continue their journey to other things. As the grey slowly starts to take over and their joints wrestle with their ability to get out of bed in the morning, they will be sorely missed by the Jaycee Family and have something to remember us by.
Jaycee Legacy Award:
This award is given to a Senator that has supported our chapters in furthering their growth and served as a positive force, mentor, and inspiration to our members. This award is submitted by a chapter in honor of a senator that still carries the values of the Jaycees and continues to help support our young leaders in creating positive change. This award is given at year end only.

Angels Among Us Award:
This award is given to a Jaycee or a NON-Jaycee that deserves extra appreciation for their assistance, mentorship, sponsorship, friendship, or any other category that does not fit any of the other awards. This can be a business or an individual person. An Angel Among Us award is special for the Jaycees to show that they recognize the person/entity that has assisted us drive forward with the Jaycee Mission and Vision. This award is eligible for submissions for both Annual Montana Jaycee Conventions. This award is presented during the Chaplains Luncheon at both Annual Montana Jaycee Conventions.

Littlest Angels Award:
This award is given to a Junior Jaycee, or to a child that has made an impact on the jaycees and has been present at Jaycee functions, events, or just any person UNDER the age of 18 that deserves a shout out. Building up people younger than our organization allows creates the exposure, recognition, and appreciation of our youth for the hard work and dedication they pour into their everyday life. Whether they are Jaycee related or not, these people can be recognized for their individual abilities. This award is eligible for submissions for both Annual Montana Jaycee Conventions. This award is presented during the Chaplains Luncheon at both Annual Montana Jaycee Conventions.

Archangel Award:
This award is a traveling award that is given to an outstanding youth, person, or business that has shown unwavering support for the Jaycees and has had a positive impact on the people around them. Their focus on building leaders and supporting their community shows their continued commitment to creating a world that was will be better than it was yesterday. This award is pooled between the submissions between the Littlest Angels and the Angels Among Us to show an overall winner. This award is given at year end only.
