How can we be the light that helps others see?

Hello Montana,

In 2025, our organization will make a bold stand against the challenges we face. "Find Your Light" marks the start of our efforts to combat the ongoing decline in membership and state unity. Our 2025 Plan of Action focuses on harnessing your unique "Light"—your personality, passion, and enthusiasm—and leveraging it as our most powerful tool to grow the organization we cherish. Our primary objective as a state board is to enhance the visibility, recognition, and unity of the Montana Jaycees, local chapters, and our members.

Building on the achievements of our leaders in the great state of Montana over the past few years, we aim to align with the progress made while also enhancing and expanding upon it. Our goal is for members of our community to recognize the Jaycees without needing an explanation. We are committed to helping you raise your visibility and promote your organization so it can fully meet your leadership, community, and growth objectives.

Will you discover your light? Have you already found it? Have you tapped into it to enhance your personal or professional growth and seize new opportunities? Have you used it to help others achieve their goals? Does it inspire and empower you to the point of feeling ready to burst? Each of us is on a unique journey, traveling different paths that lead us in various directions—yet have we paused to consider that we ultimately reach the same destination? Join us in our mission to be the light that guides others to see!

Investment in Exposure and Presence
We will provide opportunities for members to highlight their accomplishments, from personal milestones to professional achievements, and to foster a stronger Jaycees presence in the community. We strive to partner with local media, as well as social media, to give our members the tools they need to be a powerful force within their respective areas.

Focus on Personal and Professional Growth
We strive to empower our members by providing personalized growth opportunities that align with their unique goals and passions. By prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion, we create an environment where all members can thrive and contribute to the organization's success.

Expansion of our Network and Resources
We will strengthen our organization by recruiting new members and forging partnerships within our local communities. We will emphasize the Jaycees' commitment to community improvement and the opportunities available to members.

Membership Recruitment Strategies

Online Presence:
Enhance the Montana Jaycees website with clear information on membership benefits, upcoming events, and testimonials from current members.
Engage with potential members through social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) by showcasing community impact projects and member experiences.

External Partnerships:
Partner with local universities and leadership institutes to offer advanced leadership certifications or courses to members.

Annual Leadership Retreat:
Organize an annual leadership retreat that combines training sessions, team-building activities, and strategic planning for the future of the Montana Jaycees. Typically called LOTS (Local Officer Training Seminar)
